Apple Arcade Additions: 4 New Games)

Apple has lined up a trio of notable Japanese developers for its June additions to Apple Arcade. Today the company announced four games coming to the subscription service next month, led by Konami’s Frogger and the Rumbling Ruins (a sequel to early Arcade game Frogger in Toy Town) which launches on June 3rd. That will be followed by Cooking Mama: Cuisine on June 17th, which mixes up the cooking formula by tasking players with figuring out ingredients instead of just picking a premade recipe. Rounding out the list is Air Twister, which comes out on June 24th from legendary designer Yu Suzuki, who is best known for titles like Shenmue and Out Run.

New MacBook Pro Models to Be Released in 2021

Apple is planning to hold a special event on Monday, October 18 at 10:00 a.m. Pacific Time to launch redesigned 14 and 16-inch MacBook Pro models. These models are expected to have an overhauled design with thinner bezels and larger displays, and they will support up to 32GB RAM. The new MacBook Pro will also use an M1X chip, which is an faster, more powerful version of the M1, plus it could support up to 64GB RAM.

Gamevice Releases New Controller Lineup for iPhone and Lightning-based iPads

The Gamevice lineup includes updated controllers for iPhone and Lightning-based iPads. The original Gamevice controller system introduced the concept of wrapping a controller around an iPhone or iPad, and now the company has returned with updated products. The first devices in its cloud-gaming-focused lineup include controllers for iPad, iPhone, and Android phones. The Gamevice for iPad works with the 10.2-inch iPad model from the 5th to 9th generation, the iPad Air 2 and 3, and the 10.5-inch iPad Pro. This is a Lightning-based controller so it isn’t compatible with the latest iPad Pro, iPad Air, or iPad mini models. The Gamevice for iPhone is an updated version of the classic model and the Razer Kishi. It is designed to work with the large camera bump of the iPhone 13 Pro Max and is compatible with the iPhone X, iPhone XS, iPhone 11, iPhone 12, and iPhone 13 lineups. There is also an Android option compatible with “most” Android phones and the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra. This is the USB-C version and is not compatible with Apple devices. All Gamevice products will come with a free one-month subscription to Xbox Game Pass.
